This is actually the first time we tried warm kombucha and it really surprised us! The taste of apple mixed with the spices and the acidity of kombucha works really well together.
I love it because it’s less sweet than wine mulled and it doesn’t need any added sugar.
1 bottle of Ragi apple kombucha
zest of 1 orange
1 cinnamon stick
Apple slices to decorate
Pour the apple kombucha in a large saucepan, and gently heat to mull.
Add the orange zest and spices, bring to a simmer, then keep it on the lowest heat for 15 mins with the lid on
Transfer it into a teapot and serve it warm into glass mugs. Decorate with apple slices.
*Note: Although heating up the kombucha will kill some of the bacteria, you’ll still benefit from the healthy acids and antioxidants.
